PANDA: The google's Wackiest Update -- Ever!

To all who are SEO savvy people out there! Hey have you heard that Google has made a notorious change in their search algorithm? and this is the the toughest whack in most of the "not so quality websites" also known as the "content farms". Well yeah, you heard it right FARMS!

Google is trying to eliminate SPAM in their search results and giving the best quality websites to give to their users. PANDA or Farmer has been created to eliminate the "content farms".

Let's be honest, as users of the latest computer-noun today, we don't want don't want to be victimized by those nasty spam that sometimes can cause us  harm (because most of these spams contain viruses, malwares to hack identities -- I don't want that! Do you?)

The brightest engineers of google have created wonderful tactics to put these content farms down and to penalize those websites who are doing illegal SEO activities (black hat and grey hats.. you know them!)

The impact of this update is like Armageddon! A huge meteor hits the world and cause a huge, un-imagined destruction! But online, it's a subtle destruction if you don't know how to use SEO tools of course. And if you are just a plain google user, you wouldn't recognize the effect at all!

For webmasters, try to run your SEO tools now and check if you've been affected by this change. You know your tools, your tolls, your traffic is telling you. If you've seen a huge downfall of traffic... sad to-say, work on with your SEO! Try newer tactics. Make it friendlier to the user and to google!

Google has become a powerful form of media. In fact, it has become a verb! If you want to survive and have a good money flowing, then follow them! Here are the latest updates: Make sure that your site is a quality site: quality contents, quality descriptions. Make sure that you don't run around the bushes and make fire! Because definitely they are seeing you and may penalize you for that. Remember their rules are the 10 commandments of Internet today!

These are just some of the tidbit tips that I can tell you today. Heads up! Heads up! Panda 2.0 is coming in no time! Brace yourself!

MYRA

For our final project in Business Communication, Mrs. Rex told us to create something that would incorporate these 10 Core Values:

* Accountability and Responsible Citizenship
* Loyalty and Promise Keeping
* Honesty and Integrity
* Caring and Respect for others
* Fairness and Equality

Our class president would want to break the habit of submitting a boring interview with executives and all. So, the class have agreed to create a movie.

In short, I was appointed to lead the class for making this movie a reality. It wasn't that easy to make a movie there are so many things I need to prepare before hand. Below are the things that I've done in making this project,

* Research
* Create
* Execute

Since I don't know how to create a screenplay, I've researched on it. How to do it and what to write. Once I am done, I started creating my master piece. The story title hasn't been final until after the last shooting day. I executed what I've created after many revisions and additions it has became final and we started shooting.

Shooting isn't as easy as I thought. As the project director and writer, it is my responsibility to make sure for our shooting location. This is one of our biggest dilemma. We don't have a place to shoot our movie aside from the school. Thank heavens that AGSB is kind enough to grant our abrupt, last-minute request to use facilities in 5 - Saturdays.

What I've learned during the making of the film is that you must be cool at all times, no matter what happens.

Aside from being cool no matter what, to avoid confusion among your group mates: Prepare the necessary things that you will use ahead. Scout for location, ask for reservation, know the availability of your co-workers and most especially, make sure that they know what they are doing.

I am blessed to have a very helpful, understanding and cool group mates! They are ready whatever you need in the script/scene.

Also, for the post production, you must scout which reliable editing firm or company to fully furnish your wonderful masterpiece.

One setback I've made was not to be strong enough and brave enough to share responsibilities with others. I have fears of rejection and failure. I am not saying that they cannot do the task but not reaching the goal is what I am scared of.

One great lesson I've learned is that to become yourself and let others help you. That it is fun not to force others to be great.

Doing this project is one of my milestone. I have dreamed of directing a screenplay one day, and I never imagined I will direct my own screenplay. I thank God for this wonderful opportunity that I've shared with my classmates what I can do.

I hope that I became a blessing to them.

I am hoping that my professor, Mrs. Adelina Rex would love the film.

MBA First -- Almost End of First Trimester

When I have decided to have further studies, I didn't expect it could be this fun yet very stressful. Getting in a prestigious school like the Ateneo Graduate School of Business (AGSB) is not easy for me. I don't know the real reason why they got me on probation but I believe it's because of my post graduate average grade. But I still thank God that I got an opportunity to become an atenean for this term. I need to have at least 2.5 QPI to continue to study next term. Let's see after June what's the result ;)

I have met a lot of beautiful people from the two subjects I need to take this term. I observed that almost all guys in school are gentleman and really kind-hearted. Really down to earth and very warm people. I enjoyed my BUSCOM class because I have the opportunity to talk and to meet other people as well. As for our final project, we created a short movie entitled "Myra" and I am really hoping for it to be a success. That we will be exempted in our final exam! Making the film was one of the best experiences I had. It was really fun and challenging task to create almost everything from script to filming it -- finding location, reservations, and stuff. It was really stressful but it's fun!

Another subject that I have this term is Financial Accounting. I have understood the importance of those Accounting things in the world. For me, accounting is a complex addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. We were only 8 in class, and the good thing about having a small class is that definitely everybody will learn -- almost. Until this day, I am still confused with our subjects. It's like I am there yes, I know some concepts but I still don't get it. I still don't understand the process. But just like what I said to my very good professor, I need some time to digest our lessons. Oh, We will not learn Financial Accounting without her. I really thank God for her did not give up on me.

I know I still have a lot of things to learn, this is just the beginning. I don't know how many difficulties and stress I have to endure, but I am focused in finishing this MBA for 3 years... I will definitely graduate as an Atenean.
